Elias Riggs Monfort Papers

The Monfort papers contain the Civil War letters of E.R. Monfort and Emma Taylor (who later married him), and their family, especially Margaret Monfort (Elias's sister), and J. Gordon Taylor (Emma's brother). The originals are available at the Duggan Library Archives, Hanover College (Hanover, Ind.).

Students in various Hanover College history classes are transcribing the letters (see below).
