The scope of the Internet Archive of Texts and Documents has been dramatically reduced. As it was conceived in 1996, the Archive was intended to include texts from every major civilization from ancient times to the present. Hanover College faculty and students working on the project, however, were unable to keep the hundreds of pages updated and checked for accuracy. As of July 1, 2000, the project was reduced to a small number of pages. The History Department plans to add more pages to the Archive as time permits.

The History Department welcomes questions. It will not, however, as a matter of principle, do homework for students. You may find information and resources at the Research and Writing page and, particularly for bibliographical references, the Database page. You may also contact the Department to make suggestions or comments or to suggest a link.
