
Changes in the Hanover History Department, 1997-98

G.M. Curtis continues to serve as a Visiting Scholar at Liberty Fund. He will teach two courses at Hanover this year: "The Bill of Rights" in the Fall Term and "The Prophetic Voice," together with Phil Barlow, Professor of Theology, in the Winter Term. Dan Murphy continues serving part-time as Hanover College's first Outreach Coordinator. He is joined this year by Jeffrey Brautigam, who will become Hanover's Outreach Coordinator when Murphy returns to teaching full-time in 1999-2000
Jeffrey Leigh is serving as a part-time Assistant Professor this fall and winter terms. A specialist in nineteenth-century East Central European History, he has recently completed his Ph.D. at Indiana University, writing a dissertation titled, "Press Policy in Bohemia, 1848-60: The Defense of Hapsburg Legitimacy and Public Order."
