
Changes in the Hanover History Department, 1997-98

G.M. Curtis is serving this year as a Visiting Scholar at Liberty Fund, where, among other things, he is organizing a colloquium on citizenship and the first federal congress. You may reach him at curtis@libertyfund.org.
Eileen Cheng is teaching early American history at Hanover this year. A specialist in early American historiography and intellectual history, she is completing her Ph.D. dissertation, "American Historical Thought and the American Revolution, 1788-1850," under the direction of David Brion Davis at Yale University.
Dan Murphy is serving part-time as Hanover College's first Outreach Coordinator.
Gerard Sherayko is teaching part-time this fall. A specialist in Germany's Weimar Republic, he has recently completed his Ph.D. at Indiana University, writing a dissertation titled, "Selling the Modern: The New Consumerism in Weimar Germany."
