Steamboat
This
vessel set out for Natchez on Thursday last, the 23d
January for her first time, more for experiment than
emolument. From a gentleman passenger, of correct
information, who are enabled to state, that she can
steam the current at a rate of upwards of three miles an
hour-that she went from this city to the Homas, a
distance of 75 miles in 24 hours.
