New York, July 2.
Friday last a Proclamation was issued here by his Excellency our Governor, forbidding any of his Majesty's Subjects in the County of Albany, to take any Indian Children, as Pledges for Debts from the Indians; which has been represented as a Practice too common amongst them; and that all such as have already been taken be restored immediately.


To be Sold, a very likely Negro Lad, about 16 years of Age: Inquire at the Post Office.


Wednesday last being the annual Commencement at [Harvard, in] Cambridge, the following Persons were admitted to their respective Degrees, viz.
