"War, War, War" screamed the headlines the Roosevelts read in the Louisville paper.  The editor stopped the presses to print a half-sheet extra edition with the news of the Battle of Tippecanoe, brought by a man who had been there eight days before.   The news did not bode well for their passage through Indian territory to the south.
