History Alumni

Welcome alumni. The History Department's Alumni pages are designed to help alumni, faculty, and current students communicate with each other over the internet. All Hanover College alumni, not just former history majors, are invited to participate. The History Department hopes that these alumni pages will enable people to renew old friendships, build new friendships, and assist one another in their education and careers.

The Alumni Directoryis organized by class and includes names and mailing addresses. To add phone numbers, email addresses, links to web sites, or current occupations or to make corrections, please use the form on the main alumni page or contact Frank Luttmer at luttmer@hanover.edu. The History Department would be happy to provide you with a space on its server for a personal web page. Using FTP, you will be able to create and edit your page from your office or home computer.

Alumni News provides a forum for alumni to bring others up to date about recent developments in their lives; call attention to people, organizations, or resources that may be of help or interest to others; or express ideas and opinions on any topic. To make a contribution to Alumni News, please use the form below or contact Frank Luttmer at luttmer@hanover.edu.

Career Network enables Hanover students to contact alumni who may be able to help them secure internships or jobs or to offer advice concerning education and career. Students using the Career Network may include high school students considering Hanover College, current students contemplating a history major, or current students and recent graduates formulating post-graduate and career plans. You--the history alumni--may contribute by (1) volunteering to talk or write to students who seek your advice, (2) posting messages about your education and career that may prove helpful to students, and (2) indicating whether you would be able to help students secure internships. Again, please use the form or email Frank Luttmer.

The History Department also hopes to add more entries specifically designed for alumni on the Department's News and Archives page. One suggestion, for example, is to create web pages devoted to spring term trips abroad in years gone by.

If we are to create and sustain a vibrant and authentic alumni community, we need to keep in touch with each other, exchange ideas, and offer assistance to one another. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if there is anything that you would like to see on these pages.
